Winter tea time
The temperatures are hitting the one digit range again, time to keep warm and stay healthy!
What’s better than a hot cuppa tea in the palms of your hands the aromatic scent of the tea filling the room as the tea leaves, petals and dried fruits infuse with the hot water, creating the perfect blend for palate satisfaction?
And it’s not just for the taste and smell we enjoy our tea so much, but because of the added benefits, we obtain from the carefully chosen ingredients which are then infused with CBD (Cannabidiol) a compound found in the Cannabis sativa L. plant.
Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world (after water), and it offers great benefits for your digestive system and skin.
5 of our 6 teas are actually Tisanes – a word not often used, but this is the correct term for herbal teas, which are made from the infusion of herbs, spices, petals, buds, dried skins and other plant materials in hot water. Herbal teas do not contain any caffeine and can be served hot or cold.
Though documentation that defines the first appearance of tisanes is scarce, Chinese legend tells the story of Shennong, the Divine Farmer, who may have lived from 2737 BC to 2697 BC. Shennong was passionate about the use of herbs in pursuit of good health, and he used his own body to test the effects of various combinations.
Herbal tea has so many benefits, that a lot of them are overlooked even. Chamomile tea before going to bed, can help with relaxation and falling asleep.
